Roseboom is located in Otsego County, New York. The population was 686 at the 2020 census. The town was created from part of the Town of Cherry Valley in 1854. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 33.1 square miles. There are several hamlets and other known locations within the Town of Roseboom, including Pleasant Brook, South Valley, Butlers Corners, Center Valley, Honey Hill, Weber Corners, Winnie Hollow, and Belvedere Lake. The Cherry Valley Creek flows southward near the west town line. The town name is that of an early landowner and settlers, Abram and John Roseboom. Surrounding towns include: Westford, Decatur, Middlefield, Seward, Sharon Springs and Cherry Valley.
